Pico Azores - Geodesic Dome Assembly

Synopsis:

Films shows the assembly and disassembly of one of the simplest geodesic dome structures which in essence is composed entirely of equalateral triangles. The only thing that prevents it from having perfect spherical symetry is that vertex point that would have been pointing down into the ground has been omited, leaving a flat pentagonal base. The dome was assembled and disassembled on Pico in the Azores - you can see the Pico summit (through the clouds in the background) and views of the atlantic ocean. It was constructed using 5-pointed star-plates and wooden struts.
